Beyond Pedagogy: Group Sessions & Teacher Mentoring Packages

Teaching with Tools

Research has shown that 88% of music graduates will end up teaching in their career (Frederickson, 2007). While pedagogy teaches how to teach an instrument, there is little training on how to set up a private studio, how to effectively deliver content to different types of learners, and how to examine individual methods of teaching to improve.

I offer workshops and low-cost mentoring for new teachers as they build their studios and help them to become excellent teachers and entrepreneurs.

As an educational mentor, I specialize in private music instruction and can guide you through the process of learning what makes you the most effective private music instructor.  Do you find it difficult to decide on exactly how to execute an effective 30 or 60 minute lesson?  Do you wonder how responsive you are to the needs of your learner or if there is a way to tell?  Are you struggling to connect with your private music students?  Is student retention becoming an issue?  I am excited to share my educational research and 29 years of private music teaching experience with you.  For private coaching, please contact me for pricing.
